As you will find out in the game of life, everything takes patience. Running a writing business requires patience, just like any other business. Some students call and interrogate me on how much they can make in a day. Here is the thing; you have to have a business mentality to hack online writing. Create a plan on how much you want to earn and have a strategy on how to get there.

It means that consistency matters a lot. You have to work at it every day, not just on Tuesdays, and miss a few days. You have to make sure you do something every day. If you haven`t gotten any work yet, write a blog, work on an eBook. I usually think of it this way; how can I still make cash if I can`t work? Imagine lying in ICU one day, God forbid, who will take care of your family or medical bills.

If you had a business that runs on your blood, it means cash stops flowing immediately; you stop working even for a second. But if you had invested in systems and people, cash will flow even when you are not around. At first, it will require you to invest in time and money for your cash machine to be up and running, but in the long run, it pays off big time.

So you need to grow a thick skin because you will get challenges left right and center; from writers to clients to payments systems, you will get tested from all angles. You only have to be patient because transitioning to a great writer can take quite some time. Start where you are, use what you have.
